Welcome to my blog, where I hope to share all things related to my journey through my small business, personal growth and all things related to hand lettering & of course, all pretty things!
I started the year off by being sick. And boy, it was not fun at all. Our poor baby girl somehow got the hand, mouth, foot virus and then it got passed onto my hubby and I. We spent a week or two recovering and I’ve never felt SO grateful for my health until now.
With the new year, comes with new goals. For me this means entering the year with a growth mindset, where putting in the hard work of growing my business and understanding that failure allows me to grow and that it is an essential part of my creative process.
I have a habit of saying “I want to do this…I want do that…” and they do not often come to life because I am not DOING it. In order for things to come to life, I need to block time to sit down, think and plan it all out. I am most definitely that girl who writes EVERYTHING down in an agenda and I can honestly say it helps so much. I feel like writing my thoughts down on paper really allow me to visually see the GOAL and to just FOCUS on achieving it. My mind is always racing with ideas and it needs to be decluttered in this way.
I also want to be more intentional and provide value with what I share with you. This means sharing more of my lettering & painting process and my life behind the scenes as a wife, mama of two, and eventually when I juggle my full-time career again as I’m currently on maternity leave with our baby girl Mila!
I cannot believe it is ALREADY February and I feel like my year is truly starting now. I have several projects lined up this month and I am SO excited about it. It definitely involves pretty things, some DIY fun, styling and branding for my calligraphy business. Keep your eyes peeled for sneak peeks to come!
