In 2020, I decided to venture into experimenting and creating wax seals. I did not know that it would create so much love for it! Each instagram (IG) post was loved at least 100+ times and all the heart eyes were galore.
This further my obsession with wax seals and I discovered they were not only pretty and fun to make, but it also became something people could truly use. Be it to add to invitations, place cards, envelopes, packaging and even add to your daily planners.
When I started my lettering journey, I used to create wax seals the traditional way – melting the wax over a candle and then allowing it to drip over my desired surface. At the same time, I was being very articulate in ensuring it formed a symmetrical circle prior to stamping the wax.
Nowadays, my style is more organic and whimsical so creating those organic wax edges is something I adore.
Each wax seal is handmade with love. My signature is adding dried floral pieces that I dry myself and also adding gold flakes that make the wax seal even more unique.
Wax seals can be used in so many ways – from adding an accent or creating a statement piece into your daily lives. Some examples include:
- Added onto place cards, escort cards, or menus for an event
- Elevate a minimal gift bag
- Enhancing your journals/planners/agendas
- The final touch to packaging a gift – attaching onto tissue paper or a tag
- Branding
I am currently selling my sample seconds that I’ve created – they will come in packs of 5 or 10 packaged together with similar colour scheme. You can purchase them here!
My next project is to create blank wax seals with dried florals along with the option of gold flakes.
